Lachlan Lam of Leigh Leopards has been voted Glen's Vodka Player of the Month for May by Super League fans voting on the Our League app - completing a significant double for his club and his family.
Lam, the 25-year-old Papua New Guinea playmaker who joined Leigh in their promotion campaign last year after four seasons in the NRL with Sydney Roosters, pulled the strings masterfully as the Leopards surged into the upper reaches of the Super League table with consecutive wins against Castleford Tigers, Huddersfield Giants, Wakefield Trinity and Warrington Wolves - all of them convincing, with an aggregate margin of 110-34.
Lachlan Lam follows Hull KR's Mikey Lewis, George Williams of Warrington Wolves and Hull FC's Tex Hoy as the fourth winner of the Glen's Vodka Player of the Month award for the 2023 season.
He polled the highest in an especially strong field which included three more half-backs - Salford's Marc Sneyd, Hull FC's Jake Clifford and his Leigh team-mate Ben Reynolds - as well as the young Catalans Dragons full-back Arthur Mourgue, and the St Helens prop Alex Walmsley.
