Scottish Premiership Glen’s Manager of the Season

Kilmarnock FC manager, Derek McInnes, has been named the Scottish Premiership Glen’s Manager of the Season 2023/24.

McInnes led his side to a fourth-place finish in the Scottish Premiership - the club’s best performance since the 2018/19 season.

Killie enjoyed a series of strong results during the season, including victories over league winners, Celtic, and second-placed Rangers. McInnes also scored two Glen’s Premiership Manager of the Month awards during the season in September and December.

The Rugby Park side head into their final Premiership game of the season with 14 wins, 13 draws and 10 losses, and a spot in next season’s Europa League qualifiers.

Colin Matthews, CEO of Glen’s owner the Loch Lomond Group, said:

“Kilmarnock has shown great resilience this season under Derek McInnes’ leadership, with a string of consistent results. And his dedication has paid off, lifting the Ayrshire club to their highest league position in the last five years.

McInnes has proven his side can hold their own, making him the worthy recipient of the Scottish Premiership Glen’s Manger of the Season award. My congratulations go to Derek, his coaching staff and his team for another superb season.”

Derek McInnes, Manager of Kilmarnock FC, said:

"I am delighted to accept this award, like any individual award there is a whole support team that's played their part in it.

"Having brilliant staff, I am recognising the effort from all of them, and the efforts of the players. The club is working as one and everyone is contributing.

"When positive results play out on the pitch and individual awards get given, it's indicative of the club doing a lot of things right off the pitch."
