Double Recognition for Lams in May Glens Player of The Month Awards

Lachlan Lam of Leigh Leopards has been voted Glen's Vodka Player of the Month for May by Super League fans voting on the Our League app - completing a significant double for his club and his family.

Lam, the 25-year-old Papua New Guinea playmaker who joined Leigh in their promotion campaign last year after four seasons in the NRL with Sydney Roosters, pulled the strings masterfully as the Leopards surged into the upper reaches of the Super League table with consecutive wins against Castleford Tigers, Huddersfield Giants, Wakefield Trinity and Warrington Wolves - all of them convincing, with an aggregate margin of 110-34.

And that form has received additional recognition with Lam's father, Adrian, named Super League's Betfred Coach of the Month for May - the second time he has won the award, the first having come in May 2021 when he was in charge of Wigan Warriors.

Father and son were each presented with their awards on the St James' Park pitch after the Leopards continued their winning run by beating Wakefield Trinity 30-4 in Betfred Super League's Magic Weekend in Newcastle.

Adrian Lam's Betfred Coach of the Month award has been determined by a panel of experts, and follows wins for Wigan's Matt Peet in April, and for Warrington's Daryl Powell in February and March.
